The reverse of the coin changes each year, as shown in the picture. The koala design was made by Ing Ing Jong, also responsible for the Perth Mint’s lunar coin designs.

History of the 1 Kilo Silver Koala Coin
The Perth Mint produces silver bullion coins that feature popular animals from the Australian continent. These include the kangaroo and the kookaburra. The silver koala is among one of the most popular silver bullion coin series.
1 Kilo silver koala bullion coins were first issued in 2007. Since this date, they have been produced annually by the Perth Mint.
