Discover how to sell your precious metals by post to Gerrards Bullion and how to prepare your package for safe shipment.
Step 1: Documents to provide
We require photocopies of the following documents before we buy your precious metals. Please include them in your parcel, or send them by email to [email protected].
Proof of Identity
Valid Passport or Driving License.
Proof of Address
Photocopy of a recent utility bill, less than 3 months old.
Bank Statement
Copy of a recent Bank Statement, showing the account holder name, address, account number and sort code. We do not need to see any balances or transfers. These can be blanked out.
Step 2: Prepare your package
Select an appropriate package
Use a padded envelope (Jiffy bag) or cardboard postal box. Ensure the weight does not exceed the maximum allowed and pack sharp objects in a hard box for security.
Include the required documents
Include your Postal Form, Proof of ID, Proof of Address, and Bank Statement. Alternatively, use our Online Calculator to generate a Selling Form automatically.
Close your package securely
Ensure your package is tightly packed and sealed.
- If Jiffy Bag: Apply strip of packing tape over adhesive strip
- If box: Apply packing tape across all seams on top and bottom
Insert our postal address

Write your return address on the back of the package as a precaution.
Step 3: Send your items
Receive your payment
Our purchase price will be based on the live precious metal price on the day of processing. We will proceed with payment or contact you if needed. Payment is made the same day by bank transfer or cheque.
