Why buy gold sovereigns?

Sovereigns are UK legal tender, so they are exempt from Capital Gains Tax as well as VAT, which makes them the most tax-efficient way for a UK investor to hold gold. They are small, easy to store and sell one at a time, and recognised by dealers everywhere. Buying mixed years at best value gives you the same gold content as a specific date at the lowest premium we offer.
