Documents required to buy and sell your precious metals
Because bullion is considered as an investment product, we require you to provide several documents to sell you gold bars and coins.

Which documents do I need to provide?
Proof of Identity
A valid passport or full UK driving license.
Proof of Address
Less than 3 months old. Accepted bills include:
- Electricity Bill
- Gas Bill
- Landline Telephone Bill
- Water Bill
- Broadband Bill
- Council Tax Bill
Or full UK driving license (if not used as Proof of Identity).
Copy of a recent Bank Statement
Required information: Bank statement displaying name of bank, name of account holder, address, account number, sort code and displays a date within the last three months.
We do not require to see any transfers or balances. Please feel free to blank these out.
You can download a recent bank statement in PDF or JPEG format via your online banking screen.
Why do I need to provide these documents?
Precious metals are classified as an investment product under UK law. We are required to verify the identity and address of all customers in accordance with Regulation 41, paragraph 3 of the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Regulations.
Your personal data will not be sold or shared with third parties for advertising or remarketing purposes. Your information is kept securely and only used for compliance purposes.
How to send my documents?

Include in your parcel (Selling only)
When sending items to sell, you can include copies of your documents in the same parcel with your precious metals.
