The inscription ” REPUBLIK OSTERREICH ” (‘Republic of Austria) surrounds the Great pipe Organ located in the center of the coin surface. The mention ” 1 UNZE FEINSILBER ” (1 ounce pure silver) is also minted in the obverse. The face value 1.50 Euro is located at the bottom of the coin.

The reverse shows the different instruments used in the Philharmonic Orchestra in Vienna. These instruments include the harp, violin, cello, flute, bassoon and french orn. The inscription ” WIENER PHILHARMONIKER ” (Vienna Philharmonic) and ” SILBER ” are engraved at the top of the coin.
